Aftercare
A clean heal is half the work. Follow this and your piece will look the way it should — sharp lines, deep blacks, no patchy spots from picking or scabbing. If anything looks off, message me.
The bandage
You'll leave the studio wrapped in a recovery second-skin bandage. Keep it on for 3-5 days as long as it stays sealed — no rips, no holes, no water getting under it. Don't work out and don't sit in a sauna while it's on.
Taking it off
Take the bandage off in the shower under lukewarm water — the water helps the adhesive release without tugging at the skin. Once it's off, wash the tattoo well with unscented soap, rinse clean, and let it air dry. No towels.
Daily care
Wash gently with unscented soap and lukewarm water twice a day. After it's dry, apply a thin layer of unscented white lotion — not Aquaphor — morning and night for the first two weeks. Less is more; you're moisturizing, not smothering.
What to avoid
For the first 2-3 weeks: no swimming, no soaking (baths, hot tubs), and no direct sun on the tattoo. The sun fades black ink faster than anything else, so once you're fully healed, keep it under sunscreen or fabric for the long run.
Thank you for trusting me with this project. If you ever need a touch-up or want to plan something else, just reach out.
